It was a good experience eating here. The food was delicious. Massive servings for the price. The vibe was fantastic. It was just terrible timing that they ran out of garlic yogurt sauce when we came in for dinner because they had a lot of guests earlier. I think my biggest issue was the cockroaches. One came flying towards me, other two were just roaming around near the tables. Made me worry about how hygienic the place is.

I had the pleasure of dining at Mapishi Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment I stepped in, the cleanliness and inviting ambiance of the place set the tone for a delightful meal. The food itself was a true highlight – each dish was bursting with flavor, and I found myself savoring every bite. It's definitely a dining destination that's worth trying. One tip to keep in mind when planning your visit is to arrive with an appetite, as the portions are generous and incredibly satisfying. Although they didn't offer fufu, I was pleased to find that they had ugali, a local favorite. While the staff might not be numerous, their dedication to ensuring a pleasant dining experience was evident. I found them to be attentive and eager to accommodate any requests. A little pro tip: If you notice the staff busy preparing food in the back, it's a good idea to ring the small bell at the front desk. All in all, Mapishi Restaurant promises not only delectable cuisine but also a dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.Try na!

We called to reserve a table for 11 AM and also placed our orders in advance. We arrived on time and we were the first customers to dine in, while there were mostly delivery riders waiting for orders. We still waited 20 minutes before our order was served. The server was nice and accommodating. The air conditioned room wasn't too cold at noontime. I recommend the Swahili Sampler if you're unfamiliar with this cuisine. The Ugali Firigisi is also a good appetizer. The server mentioned that they often sell out of stocks, so you better order early.

This is one of those hidden gems in restaurants that you should know only if you know. It is not very popular but we always see it in Food Panda apps so we tried to eat there. We ordered the beef biryani, chicken pilau and chipsi masala. Being an African restaurant I was expecting it to be very spicy but it was not spicy that can cause discomfort to those like me who are not a fan of spicy food. The beef biryani is really good. But we ordered the chipsi masala for sharing as we feel it is a must to try it. The ambience is also really homey. We dined al fresco style which has a really nice setup. They have airconditioned rooms, non-aircon room and al fresco. The decor was really nice. You can really feel that the place was well-thought. I want to dine here again with more of my friends. Food - 20/10 Ambience - 15/10 Decor - 20/10 Service - 30/10 (which is why I gave them a huge tip because the staff is really nice)

First time to try Swahili cuisine. Everything we ordered are 10/10! We also get to sit on the floor and wash our hands on a bowl and eat with our hands to follow tradition. I love how they play African music while you’re eating for the full experience.

#TiktokBroughtMeHere So excited to find a place that served South African cuisine. All the flavors were really authentic. Just enough spice where they needed to be. On our first visit, we ordered the Beef Pilau for 4, ugali frigisi (gizzard), bagia (black eyed peas), and the salmon with Ugali. Eight people shared all the food. Despite service being quite slow, we really enjoyed all the food. We even went back the next week. On our 2nd visit we tried the beef biryani. We ordered ugali frigisi and bagia again coz we enjoyed it a lot. Experience was better coz we researched how to properly eat the ugali

We always order online because their biryani is just so delicious. Their menu is simple, but it was actually the first time my spouse and I got to try this kind of food — and we were instantly amazed! I always see African food on reels and it always looks so good and mouthwatering. So I thought I’d search if there was anything like that here in Quezon City — and I was so surprised to find out there is! That’s why we ordered through Grab. I really wanted to try their fufu — it’s so good! The pilau and biryani are really tasty too. It does take a bit of time if you dine in at the store itself, but the wait is worth it. For me, this is now one of my comfort foods — I never get tired of it. I’m just so happy that we have this kind of food here in QC, and big salute to the chef for bringing these amazing flavors here. The servings are generous too — they don’t skimp at all, even on the flavor, which is always on point. We’re always amazed every time we eat here. I haven’t met the chef yet, but I hope someday I can shake his hand and thank him in person. Great job — the food is truly amazing! Thank you for the delicious experience. We’ll definitely keep coming back.
